What's worse? An American burning the American Flag or a non-American burning the American flag?

I ask because I just read an article about 3 Yale students burning the flag - only one was a U.S. citizen. My initial thought was that he committed the worst act -- butI'm nto so sure. I agree It'a a horrible thing to do, btu I don't think it should be illegal. They got arrested, but that's because the flag was on someone porch when they lit it up.

Probably an American burning the American flag is worse. Either way, it's horrible, yet it would be wrong to make it illegal, as it would interfere with Constitutional proclamations.

An American, I'd say. But either way, I usually assume it's a person who's very upset over government policy - I can totally empathize with somebody who's angry at the government so I don't take it personally. The only difference between a disgruntled American and a disgruntled Persian, say, is that the one who's closer to my house could decide to protest some way other than simply by burning the flag.

An American who burns a flag is far worse than a non-American who burns a flag.

I don't care. Burn all the flags you want. FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!! In case you haven't noticed the Bill o' rights superceeds the hurt feelings of some overpatriotic republican.

We American disrespect the flag so much it makes Flag Burning look like a holy act.

THERES SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH FLAG UNDERWEAR!!!! I MEAN WHEN YOU CROTCH SYMBOLIZES THE FREEDOM OF OUR NATION AND YOUR *** SYMBOLIZES THE BATTLE FOR IT'S INDEPENDANCE.....

I know these individuals are upset with American politics, but their actions are inexcusable. If they hate our country that much why don't they hop on the next plane and find a new home.

They're both bad, but it's worse for an American to do it.
