I have a cell phone that doesn't have a sim card. How do I get one?

I bought a t-mobile sidekick, but I have U.S Cellular as my phone company, so If i want to switch phones, Im going to need a Sim Card to put in the Sidekick.

If your current provider doesn't use sim cards, you will NOT be able to use the sidekick with them. The sidekick will not work on a CDMA provider. It will only work with a GSM provider. More so, it will only work with T-Mobile unless it is unlocked. Even if it's unlocked the settings for text messaging and internet are set to T-Mobile's settings, and will not work unless you can get the settings from the provider you use it with.

Don't listen to joemarques68. T-Mobile DOES use sim cards since they are a GSM provider.

Just get a contract only from your provider. they provide a sim and no phone. You may end up needing to unlock the phone to get the sim to work but most mobile shops will do this for you for a small fee. You could end up doing it yourself if you search for the method on-line. I say get the shop to do it if you need it doing. Hope this helps - good luck.

Either your phone has a SIM card (you may not know where it is), or your phone will not support a SIM card. ONLY the service provider or someone authorized by them can provide a SIM card that will work with their service.

t mobile dont use sim cards that phone is only good with t mobile if you want a brand new cell phone did i say free plus free shipping

You need a new phone. The SIM card is the "service".

You would have to go to t-mobile and purchase one. I believe they run about $50.00. You might also be charged an activation fee if you are setting up a new plan with them too.
