If you are certain it is something which cannot be treated, Kylie's given you the best advice.

Clove oil is an anesthetic, which can be overdosed to cause death. If you use any other method, the fish has some awareness of what is happening to it, so clove oil is still recommended as the most humane method, as it will put your fish to sleep first.

Don't use clove oil. They actually suffocate and know they are suffocating.

1/4 cup vodka or like spirit and 1/2 cup water. Put your fish into the mix and after 1 breath will numb and not feel a thing, the fish will pass away hurt free within 3-5 seconds he will not suffer or feel a thing

This is the most humane way to pass a fish.

I'm unsure if any vets will do euthanasia on a fish. I have yet to even find a veterinarian that specializes in dealing with fish illnesses.
