i don't get a long weekend. i work at a hospital and have to work whether it is a holiday or not. sick people don't stop being sick just because other people don't have to go to work. HOWEVER i don't have to work thursday or friday. but i do have to work saturday and sunday. but i'm off work monday and tuesday.

Actually, I've been signed off work by the doctor for a week, so i'm not back in until next Wednesday - but it's not a holiday. I've been specifically told to take long walks in the sunshine, relax and calm my mind. Unfortunately, because of the inherent crowds which flock this way over Easter weekend, I don't think I'll be very relaxed!

I've been off since Monday - A 10 day break at the cost of just 4 days annual leave? It's a no-brainer, isn't it?
