...and it drives me up the wall!!! He sings all the time - in different voices, with different lyrics to the same songs, etc. He does it all the time. I don't think he can go more than 5 minutes without making some sort of noise or singing some song. He has done this everyday for the almost a year that I have worked here.

He sings loud enough for all of us around to hear him. He never closes his office door and I can't wear earphones because I have to constantly answer the phone.

I try to play music on my computer so I have something else to focus on, but it doesn't really help.

He's a great boss otherwise, but this REALLY gets to me and I don't know what to do. Help!

He's the boss. Learn to sing high harmony or just tolerate. That's life.

I would talk to him in private and tell him that your work area is very noisy and it's hard for you to concentrate on your work, ask him what you can do together to rectify that situation. Hopefully he takes the hint, if not its a first step. With all the dopey singing he seems like a ccusal guy, so he might be open to a more direct, but Private approach.

I have a sister like that. I went to visit and she played music or videos or TV evey minute I was there humming all day long. She told me that employees complained to her boss because she hums a tune all day long. I think it's diagnosable condition...some compulsive behavior really.
With that said. It's so fr-gging annoying you could scream. I have a low threshold for noise pollution and singing all day long is one of them.
You could wear ear plugs, maybe? I don't know since he's the boss

Can't beat him, join him! Yes that's right!
Sing with him, and who cares if you can't sing.
Because he will either sing with you are quit singing around you!
You may be wrecking his song and will quit singing when ever your around him.
You have accomplished what you wanted him to do in the first place. (Which was stop singing around you) Right?

PS. Hope it doesn't backfire!

He's the boss so you either have to put up with it or find another job.

Just tell him to shut the *beep* up. That would be WAY more fun.
