Do you find a world were there is no war, fathom, and all people are "unified" to be realistic?

If you mean realistic as in 'likely any time soon' then my answer will be no. If you mean realistic as in 'possible' then I'm going to go with yes. It's just going to take some things we don't have right now.

One of the things it will require is a cultural shift... one that occurs in ALL cultures. Before you write that off as impossible, consider some of the things that have been happening recently. Cell phones are becoming almost universals. Laptops can be manufactured that are charged with a hand crank and cost less than a hundred dollars. Very soon it will be the case that anyone anywhere in the world who is inclined to learn and hear from everyone else equally connected. This means - at a certain low level - a global, shared culture. An exchange of ideas in a mostly non-threatening way. Or, for the purposes of our discussion, a VERY good start.

A second thing which will be required is a good means of detecting and treating the mentally and socially ill. Right now psychology and ethics aren't doing much better than medicine was a thousand years ago: we often have an idea what's wrong but lack early detection or good means of treatment. These tools, however, ARE being developed, and there isn't much reason to believe that a thousand years from now they might now be as good or better at treating problems within their domains. A perfect system of psychology or ethics is not impossible... just beyond our current reach.

So now that we've dealt with culture in some ways and eased the pressure caused by those who would do better if they could, is there really anything left to stand in the way of peace and unity? Perhaps only tradition. But matched against the desire for happiness that dwells in the heart of every man and the massive power that a community wields compared to a collection of individuals, I don't see how tradition stands a chance.

If we survive long enough, I'll venture that it's not only realistic, it's all but inevitable.

Good question.

Let me put it this way: Do you believe that every individual on Earth eventually will be good? Do you believe that every individual on Earth eventually will think the same way?

Humans don't seem to be evolving in a linear, bad-to-good sort of way, so I can't imagine when, if ever, every member of the human race will be "good" enough to never use violence, never hurt or take advantage of others, never have prejudices, etc. It only takes one lone dissenter to start a war, to cause destruction and mayhem. Thoughts and actions are as diverse as individuals, so unless there's some unprecedented uniformity of ideas in the future, then my answer is no.

Some people are good, some people are bad, and most people are combination of the two. For as long as people are free and diverse, there will be conflict. It's not something to worry about, though. The stuff in us that makes us sometimes do bad things can also make us do incredible things.

Read Jean-Jacques Rousseau.
I agree with Rousseau on this one, to end conflict the concept of property must not exist. Because when there is property there is going to be conflict over it and there is going to be ugliness. So, because of the fact that people would always want recognition and sort of property over something in which they exerted any effort there will always be conflict especially since man is always wanting to advance.
Furthermore, an end to civilization would be necessary, or to be more exact the ugliness of civilization, like the gaps between the rich and the poor because then there isn't any envy between people and sadness because of the fact that people are not equal. But of course this is impossible because of the concept of property.
It sort of seems like a sort of catch-22 sort of dilemma.

the only way the world will be "unified" is if everyone has a common enemy....for example, aliens. the only way humans will be all come together is if aliens attack, but if aliens attack then the world won't be peaceful.

so to make a long answer short, no.

Not in this life time, but we will see that in the life to come.

Just make sure you are there to see it. Think about that this Sunday.
