how did his movement make people act towards violence......how was it a threat to others who didnt like the movement?

By challenging the status quo with civil disobedience, he provoked defenders of segregation and the establishment to respond, which they often did violently, laying bare for all to see the evils of the system. Years before Martin Luther King's movement there were threats to innocents in clashes resulting from desegregation efforts in Little Rock. The violence inherent in the system had always been there, but he put in on national TV.

people were uptight and not open minded(sad loss) King preached against violence. Most white people were taught that blacks were below them b/c the blacks were en slaved.
