I don't think it's acceptable for ANY political pig to go ANYWHERE for ANY reason. Foreign policy is the exclusive prerogative of the president. Nobody else should be butting in and complicating an already complicated process. Treaties are subject to Senate approval, so they have input into the process. Maybe not as much as they want, but who in this world gets everything they want? The president doesn't even get that! Let the president handle foreign affairs, and our other political parasites handle the internal, regional, stuff they were elected to handle. We'd all be better off if everyone would just do their own freakin' job!

Most of the world is concerned and wish to avoid any further outbreak. There are too many unknowns. Everyone in that region has their own local conflicts that seem on edge & unresolved. Syria was once called the Levant and its conflicting tribal & family factions is not new. It is just that they are much better armed. I would like to think that some type of resolve will occur in Syria with either the assassination of Assad or his overthrow but that may also cause further disruption in the region. There are no clear cut scenarios of events that would follow and that is why all of the major non-region nations are hesitant to be involved.

The only one I know of is Pelosi, and she is a dem. The only business I believe we have in Syria is the business of using up some of our stockpiled weapons.
