Yes, that is annoying. When I choose a best answer I always say thank you, and leave a comment.

I'm new to answers and never had that happen.
What I really hate is you give an answer that is to the point and they expect a smart a@@ answer, pick your answer as best and then criticise you for what you wrote

i reckon, but it bothers me worse to not be THANKED for awarding a BA to someone... seems common courtesy, but the last time i checked, 1 of 15 bothered with so much as a simple "ty"
