isn't it about time we got Maggie Thatcher back. that woman has more spunk (courage) in her little finger than Blair has in his whole body. He will claim the glory over the release of the sailors/marines but he put them in peril with his false war and so far he has not apologised for his part in the loss of servicemen/women who have lost their lives for his vanity. With the forthcoming local elections he will try to use this to his benefit. Please do not be taken in by this! The sooner we get rid of this government, the sooner we can get all of our service personnel home and not lose any more people to this mans' false persona!!

Thatcher is a senile old bat - literally, senile dementia. Makes a change from the plain mad old bat of old.

And how exactly did Blair capitulate anyway? What demands did he agree to?

Spare us the BS; Margaret Thatcher was far from perfect. She was lucky in not having to deal with a high-profile hostage situation, that's all.

To be honest I am more interested in why our Frigate allowed them to be taken in the first place.

Not watching the radar?
Why didn't we call in air support?
etc, etc.

Should we now take some of their people as hostages?

The British government set up the "capture" of the sailors. It was a STAGED event.

PMSL...Is that the same Thatcher who went to war over the Falklands in order to keep herself in power - if it wasn't for that little battle she wouldn't have been re-elected and wouldn't have had the chance to turn the police on her own people. She is the true coward.
