everybody is walking away saying we won
this is all according to AP
and they put in their say about how they hate bush (which i think is wrong)
basically
iran says we showed we can cause trouble and we are worthy of respect
britain says we did the right thing (which is half right)
Syria says they helped to diffuse the situation
the UN will say 'see, our sanctions are working'
pelosi says that she is a hero cause she talked to syria and "helped" them come to an agreement
and AP bashes bush for refusing to talk with terrorists
each country has it's own form of propoganda
iran is still saying that the brits tresspassed but we will give you a "present" because muhamad is great and it is his b-day
what a bunch of crap
btw
britain eventually did the right thing with their economic polocies (cutting of banking and such)
but needed to act sooner
anyway
i am just glad this did not turn into WW III
Britain, Israel, USA vs Syria, N Korea, Iran
with iraq somewhere in the middle

This was a very damaging event for freedom lovers everywhere. The Iranians basically pulled the strings like puppet masters and got exactly what they wanted. I was not anxious to attack them, but we really lost this round and have turd on our faces now.

It is a weird event. I think realistically they may not have been in the Iran waters but are just saying it because it pleases their captors. It was interesting to see how the events went and I'm glad they had a good outcome.

I have to laugh that Iran said their release is a gift to Britain - I don't think Britain wanted their people taken so they could be given back as a gift.

I think Britain did what they legally could do. It's up to Iran how they handled it. I would have hated to have seen them killed and what would have happened in retaliation. I guess a war would not be the way to go but more sanctions. No more lives need to be lost.
