Value Of 1965 Dime

No gold dime was produced by the US mint. It is probably a standard dime that has been gold plated. Dimes made in 1965 were copper clad so there is no silver in them and the gold plating is probably too thin to give it any real value.

What you have there is a nice novelty item. Enjoy it.

BD in NM is probably right here. There is no mint issue gold dime. Back in the 1960's it was common to gold plate coins as well as take Lincoln cents and engrave a pipe in his mouth, or an outline of a state. A lot of coins were copied back then also. It was a time of, lets do something to the coins.
