I don't hate the rich.
But consider this, in this country the gap between the truly wealthy and the middle and lower classes is growing steadily. The rich get richer, while everyone else works harder for less money in order to make it so. Meanwhile the vast majority of the tax burden is borne by the middle class and the rich who can afford the financial education and assistance find loophole after loophole and get off scott free. So in other words, we pay taxes so that the government can make decisions that make the rich richer and decrease our relative standard of living instead of the rich paying their fair share so that the government can provide the needed services to people who cant afford them on thier own (i.e. public education, law enforcement, legal representation etc.). It's not exactly a system that looks real pretty from the bottom, or even the middle.

I don't hate the rich - I feel that a lifestyle filled with possessions is not exactly what you should be shooting for. Share the wealth with those who have less - like your family, friends, neighbors and town. If everyone helped a little more and didn't take such a corporate stand point for everything (you know, It's just business, not personal) the world would be a much better place. Oh and by the way, it's always personal, business isn't more important than those that work for you.

Grow up. No one hates the rich until the rich do nothing to help the poor. No one would hate the rich if there were more programs to help those who literally cannot help themselves. No one wants communism, but capitalism can afford to help the poor. The middle class is shrinking which is VERY bad for the economy, and yet the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Doesn't sound like a good idea to me, because if the poor get poor enough, they rise up.

Yes, I am in favor of mass toiling and suffering. We should all burn our money for the last bit of warmth as we struggle for survival on the street.
Or we just want the rich to pay the same percentage of tax without all the loopholes.
How much do the rich need especially while the poor suffer? The rich are only rich because of other people, they shouldn't just take and hoard it.

Why do you think that people who thought that the New Deal was a good deal for all hate the rich?
By the way, not all rich are conservative and not all poor are liberal. Did I really need to point that out to you?

I am both rich and a liberal. What makes you think that liberals hate the rich? What we hate are the way that many of them got that way and the way that they treat those who are less fortunate.
It's quite amazing to me that in a country where religious zealots claim that this is a Christian nation that they refuse to heed one of the prime teachings of Christ. That is to assist the poor without attaching any strings. He made it clear that this precept was especially incumbent upon the wealthy. Christ didn't tell the wealthy to indoctrinate the poor and less fortunate in their ways. Those who attempt to do this are twisting the teachings of Christ and shirking their responsibility as stewards of what they have received in life.

What makes you think Liberals hate the rich, and/or want everyone to be poor? Many Liberals are quite rich and have no desire to be poor. Perhaps you should pull your head out of the bodily orifice located on your backside and have a look at the world.

Interesting election statistics on the links below.
By the way - I'm liberal and rich as well. I believe in a government by and FOR the people - all people that is, not just the privileged.

Bwa! Don't fall into that trap. They ARE the rich! Think Kennedy, Hollywood etc. In fact the ten richest senators are all Democrates. They just like to pretend they are poor so the poor vote for them It's like when the Democrates say Republicans aren't fighting this war when in the last election the military voted 83% Republican! Don't believe a word they say.
