Yes I think it is possible for a happily married man to cheat because its kind of in most guys nature. But I think it is more likely that the guy is cheating because there is either something missing in his current relationship, or something wrong(like maybe fighting too much). Guys cheat for many different reasons some just dont know how to be with one women, and get bored with it, and most do it because they are missing something in the relationship, there is something the wife isnt doing that he wants.. and like I said above to much fighting, and not enough trusting can lead to it. There has to be complete communication, you have to be able to work through anything that is thrown your way, and consider doing certain things at least once in a while, everything you can to keep eachother satisfied even if its something your not really into, you do it to make the other person happy, and its nice when they return the favor by doing something you like that they dont. With good communication there will always be trust, and with all of that thier will be more loyalty.

Well, I believe that married men who cheat might very well still love their wives, but have become unhappy about an aspect of the marriage and don't know how to solve it - so they take an immediate gratification route:mistress. So, while I guess I'm saying that the marriage is probably not 100% happy, it doesn't mean love is lost and that he doesn't want to stay married.
Also, I think in some instances, men who cheat might be happily married, but have other issues that cause them to cheat: self-esteem, alcoholism, midlife crisis etc

I think men cheat for several reasons, one being the way it makes them feel, ya know the thrill of it all. Most cheaters don't leave the wife what does this tell you. If the marriage were truly a happy one it seem the man would not be seeking the affection of another. This question will go on being asked for ever.

I would say NO if he has cheated on the spouse then he has no respect or love for them they might as well slap them in the face or piss in there corn flakes. Really anyone that cheats is a pig and shouldn't have gotten married in the first place that goes for the ladies too! Come on would you want to stay with someone that cheated on you does it even show they have any moral fiber or care in the world for the person they are with.

Nope; I have friends who are married and the husband cheated on the wife; they were lacking some fun, if you know what I mean. He got tired of it and found elsewhere...their marriage (I thought was fine) but I was wrong. They managed to work through most of their issues; but she hasn't...she's still stuck back two years ago from it and I guess everyone including the spouse told her she needs counseling. She wants too complain to everyone about what he did and how she allowed it, and she's miserable. To this day, I can't even talk to her because of it.

Believe it or not, some actually are.

People do make mistakes for whatever reason. If a person is drunk or stoned, things happen. I'm not saying it makes it ok. It doesn't...but there are those who truly are sorry and then don't do it again.

A marriage can survive infidelity...if both people are willing to work through it.

BTW in some cultures, it's not unusual for a man to have a wife as well as a mistress. (and for a woman to be doing the same)...France is one of those places.

Any man who cheats, married or not, is not happy in their marriage!! If they were they wouldn't be out there trolling for something else!!

Most are not but a few are. I don't think it has anything to do with the other spouse or the marriage in all cases. The cheater has a problem with themselves.

No, I don't think they are happy in their marriage. If they were, they wouldn't feel the need to seek a relationship outside the marriage.
