i bought triops(egss still) for my science fair project and i need to know what water to put them in. im thinking that filtered water would be ok, but i cant put the water conditioner in there,since it would be toxic for them. is filtered water ok? or do i need like spring water from the store ? thanksss :) (i know, i asked these in two differnt areas, im just trying to see if anyone will answer hahaha)

According to what I've read about them, distilled water should be used for hatching. Once the eggs have hatched, you can change gradually to spring or tap water (add during water changes - this will change just a bit at a time) since this is usually more convenient (and less expensive).

Really, I think that you could just go with tap water. I've done them before and that's what I used, but it really depends on what the package says to do...if it says put them in water, then spring, bottled, distilled, tap, whatever will work. If they were going to limit it to one or the other, they would specify on the package.

why dont you look on the box to see what you need to do.
Im guessing they are like seamonkeys in that case just about any bottle of water will work.
