canada and it's barbaric practice of seal culling should be banned. i call on all people to avoid canada, do not import into canada and to completely cut off canada from the civilised world. These people do not know the word 'humane', if they had any concern, they would fight the barbaric practice which they chose to ignore.

Try pigs, in Canada or here in the United States. They're hung upside down by their back feet and they're throats are slit. They bleed to death as they swing helplessly along an aerial conveyor. And any farmer will tell you, pigs are bright animals. You'll swear they know what's about to happen well before they get strung up. They're squealing hysterically in panic. At least it's over for the seal pups in a few seconds. But it's okay, MiniMind, blame Canada. You city slickers don't know sh*t. Spend one day in any abattoir (if you know what that is) and then let's talk again.

I don't think the entire country should be "cut off" from the world because a VERY SMALL group is into seal culling. I can list a number of things from other countries that are just as barbaric. I don't think all Canadians need to be punished. I've lived here 26 years and I've never even seen a seal.

If we cut off everyone uncivilised we'd be sitting along cut off from everyone. Though I do admit the seal culling should be banned however look at the countries we've started wars with!

This is just the way you feel but maybe the have a purpose for this seal culling.I agree that the practice is wrong but we should not cut them off from the rest of the world.They are people too.

Actually, Canada is far more evolved than the USA with civalized behavior.
Canada is the largest contributor of aid to the Darfur Conflict.
Aiding genocide relief efforts is a VERY civilized and humane act.
So what if they club babyseals, we used to do the same thing to raccoons.
The lives of 400,000 people hold more value than the lives of baby seals.

Ever visit a slaughterhouse? Did you know that in leather manufacturing facilities they cut off the feet and lips of cows to make it easier to remove their skins, and that they often do it while the poor cow is STILL ALIVE? Did you know that baby chicks are often thrown into the meat grinders while they're still struggling to escape? Do you imagine that Canada is the only country guilty of abusing and torturing helpless animals? If so, you're wrong.

it should but they seem to prefer to ignor the point of what they are doing will one day mess the world over fishing and then blamming seals for that fact but what can be done about it if the people dont move and demand then nothing will be done its a sad unacceptable fact
