Well this is a two fold question really.
On one hand you have can we trust the adminitration? The answer is obviously a big, fat , tremendous no. The 'Bushies' in Washington have proven time and time again that they dont really care about truth, justice or the american way. Let alone anything to do with real science.
On the other hand you ask is it scientific to believe in Creationism? Well I would encourage you to do some research on the subject. If you do then I think you will be very surprised to find that the NAS' (national academy of sciences) attempt to permeate our public schools with thier version of science isnt really science at all. Thier self lauded THEORY of evolution is just that, and a theory I might add that is based in NO scientific facts. This is something that I find rather odd. That a group of individuals, of which the majority are atheists , that claim to have nothing but science in mind stake thier big claim on something that is for all intents and purposes a faith based claim. I know that for some of you who grew up in public schools all your life will rail quite fericely at this. I assure you though ,do your research, Evolution is based in NO scientific FACTS. Its about as likely as if a book were to spontaneously explode in to a pillow factory.
Now unfortunately for the christian community and those of us that believe in creationism Bush has laid claim to our most cherished beliefs. This of course cast doubt in the public eye on the validity of many of those things. This above all else is why I as a christian and a conservative am VERY angry at our President. To claim to be a man of character and morals and a christian and plainly be NONE of the above and tarnish even further the reputation we have is unconsonable.
The short answer being: No we cannot trust Bush and his followers but not for the reason you state.

Creationism is the thought that the world was created by the supernatural. Science is about attempting to find information about the world through natural laws.
Therefore, creationism is not science.

The GOP does NOT say creationism is science. Sure, some fundamentalist Christians are strong in some states, and those local parties get some push on it, but that is NOT a party platform.
And what facts are you disputing? When Bush says that global warming is man-made? You're right - he's no scientist.

God designed the human brain and the people who make the instruments to measure the age of things . If God wants you to think the universe is 14 billion years old and was not created by his hand 6000 years ago then its a test . Who do you believe Gods Word or that of someone he is using to test your faith . 2+2= 4 right or is that just what we accept cause we are told that and use numbers to represent objects . God knows that I need the money more then he does Cause every time I toss him some he lets it land back by me . Once I through it up in a crowd and he decided that they needed it more then I did . So now I offer it to him privately and so far he has taken nothing .

Evolution does not explain the beginnings of life. Nobody knows how life began exactly. Why did one cell turn into one thing and another turn into something else? It all seems to work together so perfectly and its so beautiful. No plan???
Education should include every aspect that is a possibility.
To not include creationism is just leaving one consideration out of the puzzle. Can you disprove creationism?

Nobody claims Creationism is science, where did you get a crazy idea like that? Creationism is faith, just like believing in any of the other miracles (walking on water, healing the sick, raising the dead, etc.).

No. You cannot accept any fact from a politician. They lie to gain votes. That, I guess is inevitable in both ends of the spectrum. I believe in evolution, because scientists can use credible sources. Politicians make stuff up.
Whenever a politician says a scientific fact, and you are in doubt, consult your encyclopedia, or a good Internet website.

Cons are just plain anti-science. As a liberal, I believe guys with Phds on the subject intead of preachers and pundits. Cons will reject scientific concensus on such issues such evolution, the big bang, and global warming whenever it conflicts with their religion/politics.

GREAT POINT.
It is especially scary considering that employees of government agencies are now required to submit all public statements and documents for review by Bush's political staff before they can be released to the public.

Sure, the same as you can accept monopoly money at your business...in either case, you have to be crazy or a Yale grad to go for it.
