Best Ever

1) Peyton Manning - He WILL break every record ever set in the NFL. Rarely ever gets hurt, plays every game, and can run an offense without a coach. By far the best ever.
2) Brett Favre - Iron Man, makes huge plays and play with emotion
3) Joe Montana - Nuff Said
4) Troy Aikman - Do we need to count Superbowl rings, wins, determination, and big plays
5)Tom Brady - Led New England to Countless Victories, and did so with average receivers
6) Jim Kelly - Never one the BIG one, but did lead to the Bills to almost every Superbowl during the 90's.

I have answered a similar question before.

I will give you my top five in order and reason why.

1) Joe Montana: Though I'm not a 49Er's fan (Raiders since 1977), 4 Super bowls, twice named MVP. Able to make game changing passes when needed.
2) Steve Young: To me, most athletic QB in the NFL. Had a choice of being a QB or DB when he entered BYU. Took 49Er's to fifth Superbowl win and threw for a record 6 touchdown passes.
3) Fran Tarkenton: Until Marino broke his career yrd. passing record, this stood for three decades. Only blemish on his record is that he could not win the big one.
4)Johnny Unitas: Once held yds passing record. Led Colts to victory in what is considered the greatest game ever played (1958 NFL Championship against NY Giants).
5) Dan Marino: Broke passing records left and right. Like Fran, could not win the big one.

The top two I decided on how efficient they were in passing and leadership. Fran had allusiveness that astounded commentators and angered the defenses of opposing teams. Johnny U and Marino were work horses that could get knocked down time and time again and still win a game in the end.

Tom Brady. He is the most consistant and reliable QB. He has won 3 Super Bowls at a young age. He has a 12-3 playoff record. He has 25 Career 4th Q. combacks. He is very consistant under pressure. Most of ALL he works with any recivers you give him. He worked with Jabar Gaffney and Reche Caldwell last year, they are 2 no name recivers and Brady still took the Pats to the AFC Championship game. Give those two recivers to Peyton Manning and he will probobly just die on the field. With Brady's NEW and IMPROVED reciving corps led by Donte Stallworth, Wes Welker, and Kelly Washington, I see the Pats and Brady winning a few more Super Bowls and also I see Brady's NFL Prime begin for many years to come.

Dan Marino.Miami would win (no Super bowls)but they won year after year with no defense or running game.Teams knew he was the only thing that would beat them and he still did.No other QB has or could do that, not Montana,Favre,Young,Elway. All of them won Super Bowls with all this. Think about how many Marino would have won.

Tom Brady. 3 Super Bowl rings and the potential to win a few more. Youth and the front office are on his side. Elway is a close second. He went to FIVE Superbowls and won two. Broncos fans, if Brady wins two more championships will you concede he is better than Elway? Blasphemy!
