It's got to be Led Zeppelin, they're so innovative... and heavy... and fun! Well, sure, those other bands could do that sort of thing as well, but Led Zep were just more consistently heavy than they were. I mean, you don't catch either the Beatles or the Stones writing songs like 'No Quarter'... or 'Immigrant Song'. Robert Plant's wail teamed up with Jimmy Page's battleaxe of a guitar are pretty hard to beat!
