none of the above, the moon was once part of another planet called tiamet which was placed in what is now the asteroid belt. then (as in d) a large body hit it shattering the planet and hurling what is now earth and the moon thru space. this resulted in a twin planetary system, the earth and the moon, which is why the moon is so large in comparison to the earth. or think of it this way, how big would the earth have to be in order to break apart and create a moon of such size, including any material that would be lost to space.

D

but if you look at it from a bibical perspective, it dont make sense for God to make a planet just to throw a mars sized rock at it and hurl half of it into orbit

I nonetheless have self belief the sunlight is controlled via the sunlight God, water via the Water God, flora and wood via the Earth God, and so on. technological awareness could have shown how those paintings, yet they have not shown they weren't of the strain of those Gods working mutually. while a celebrity is born, so is the God of that photograph voltaic equipment. permit me extra desirable clarify, because of the fact which you don't get it... it is not appropriate what technological awareness proves with regards to how issues paintings. This God has lasted over 2000 years, and it is going to take extra desirable than the reason of the start of time to alter the minds of destiny generations. a proof for the start is barely a small area of religion. there is a lot extra to it than factors. religious ideals furnish desire (not which you would be able to not have desire without it, yet some people desire faith for that), it gives you convenience that enjoyed ones are in a extra appropriate place, not in common terms 6 ft underground, it gives you ethical coaching (i don't think of we desire faith for that anymore, yet apparently, some people nonetheless do), And maximum critically, it gives you the terror of Hell for not believing. And no rely how lots technologies advances, or how lots know-how we acquire, we are able to on no account have any evidence or actual evidence of something religious after death. that's attainable that for the duration of the destiny we replace faith with something like the Buddhist faith. Which i recognize little approximately, yet i recognize they supply peace to the soul, without certainly believing in a god. i think of if the worship of a god could ever circulate away, then it may get replaced via something on that time... i think of we are able to constantly desire religious coaching.
