It means the conversation was boring. If someone said that to you, I'm very sorry to hear that. It was exceedingly rude of that person.

Sounds like you were talking to a smart-@ss who needs a good smack in the face...and has needed it since childhood. Anyone with even rudimentary manners would not do such a rude, childish thing. I'd get some different friends.
