It doesn't cost anything to file a report with the police department (in city abuse took place). You can also call to see what the statue of limitations are for that offense. It may be too late depending on what happened and what state it took place in. It doesn't hurt to call and ask questions.

You probably can't do anything about it. There is a statute of limitations on such things, and in most cases it ends when you reach adulthood OR within 7 years. Each state is a bit different, but you are not likely to be able to do anything. It also depends on the abuse as to what the actual statute of limitations is. Some have a limitation of LESS than a year.

Depends on what type of abuse. There are organizations that will help you in court. Call your local police department or courthouse and ask for a number of someone to talk to about abuse - physical or mental. In many cases, you will not have to hire an attorney. The state will help you.
