Well, in a lot of countries, it is in a way. But in Western countries, you can blame it on the individual, and in America, you can blame it to a certain extent on the government which, influenced by the Christian right, stops programs about sexuality in school. So, yes, to a certain extent. But not just the Catholics, at least not in America.

HIV/AIDS is introduced approximately by sexual touch with yet somebody else with HIV/AIDS, or by sharing contaminated needles, or by sharing blood products, including a blood transfusion from a favorable HIV man or woman to a detrimental HIV man or woman. The Catholic Church forbids using condoms, no longer desirous to correctly known this might avert the unfold of ailment. that's as much as the guy man or woman to stick to his very own decision in this matter. quite an idealistic courting the place the two guy and lady are virgins until now marriage and not have extramarital affairs could obviate the want for condom utilization to sidestep the unfold of ailment because of fact they does no longer have the virus except there have been different sources of having HIV. utilising a condom can decrease the possibility of an undiseased companion getting HIV/AIDS for the duration of sexual intercourse, if there is an threat of one companion being beneficial. The Catholic Church isn't in charge for the unfold of HIV/AIDS, in ordinary terms human beings and animals are.

No, that is ridiculous.
Sin, immorality is responsible for HIV/AIDS.
The Catholic Church teaches abstinence and sex within a sacramental marriage. Just because the majority of people choose to have sex outside of marriage and practice sexual promiscuity...doesn't mean the Church should now change it's teaching on the subject. The teachings of God do not change with the popular opinion of society.
The Church must stand true to God's law for His people. That is the Church's job...to shepherd the people, to bring them to Christ. Doing an evil in order to do something good is never right.
People make their own choices. If we were to live, truly live, as God designed...there would be no abortion and no STDs. Just because we have chosen to live outside the law of God is no reason to lay blame at the feet of the Church or the religious. It's not out of the realm of possibility to tell people not to have sex...we are not animals, but human beings. We have the ability to think and behave a higher level.

No.
Judeo-Christian tradition has taught for thousands of years:
1. Single people should be celibate.
2. Married people should be faithful to each other (adultery is wrong).
3. Married couples should welcome God's gift of children and, therefore, artificial birth control is against the will of God.
If the world is going to ignore teachings about chastity (1 & 2), then why is the world so upset about teaching artificial birth control (3)?
People who are already ignoring the more important teachings about chastity (1 and 2) should have no problem ignoring the less important teaching of artificial birth control (3).
Even if a person infected with AIDS was to use a condom to help protect his or her spouse, condoms are not 100% effective (read the box) and the spouse may be infected and die anyway. A person who truly loves their spouse would not endanger them in this way.
In regards to sex outside of marriage, the Church makes it a practice not to tell people how to sin. Fornication with or without a condom is still fornication. Adultery with or without a condom is still adultery.
With love in Christ.

It's neither interesting, nor is it true.
Of course the Catholic Church is not responsible for the spread of HIV/AIDS. There are, however, many people out there who would love to think that.
It's much easier to assign blame (even if it's bogus) onto someone or something else than it is to accept personal accountability for one's own actions.
The Church believes certain methods of contraception are objectively immoral. If the intent of the couple is truly vested in guarding against sexually transmit ed diseases and/or not getting pregnant, they would see abstinence as the obvious course of action, or inaction depending on how you see it.
Abstinence is perfectly acceptable form of "family planning" and it is also warranted in cases where partners (should only be spouses) have a legit concern about passing an STD from one to another.
The types who penned the blog you cited want (you) to believe sex is a civil right, and that any advocation of abstinence infringes upon this imaginary right to have sex. Also, they want (you) to believe sex is mandatory; that people "have to" have sex. People have to eat, have to sleep, have to excrete bodily waste, but an individual is not going to perish if they do not have sex.
They will bring up the fact animals have sex indiscriminately. They're not having sex, they're mating. This is differnt on account of the fact they're going it out of instinct. While human beings experience the same instinct, our higher intellect allows us to say "no" until the morally proper time. To advocate we "have to" have sex is to lower our stature to that of animals. Surely you're not about to agree with that?
Sex, in and of itself, is a complicated issue. On the one hand, people in American society don't seem willing or able to handle the subject in an emotionally mature manner. On the other, those same people flaunt it's practice, and abuse, as if it were a civil right!
The blog you have recently visited seems to be run by someone who wishes to have their cake and eat it too.
When in doubt, trust in God.

I'd say indirectly. But I wouldn't say that they are morally accountable. They preach what they believe, it's not like they are holding a knife to anyone's neck telling them to follow what they say.
