The internet was first used (for my knowledge) as a way to look up documents. It has steadily progressed into a place where we can communicate, watch movies, read, shop, and even find people to have a relationship with! What do you think is the most useful function of the internet, and what do you think will come next in the progression of the internet? Do you think this has gone too far?

Next step is that we won't "buy" software to install on our computers (too much of a hassle for us to keep it up-to-date and for manufacturers to keep updating so many versions). Rather, we will "subscribe" to it. MSN live is an example (free, for now, except for "Premium" (which may eventually replace Office, if Google stuff doesn't "outsell" it). Too much software available online for us to have to keep installing stuff at home; too much mobile computing for us to *want* to.
