why is it not ok to kill a tree or a spotted owl but o.k. to kill a baby before it is born?

many so called liberals do think it is wrong, but don't view it as a "political issue". Conservatives/Republican treat it as a political issue to get votes.

I doubt anyone thinks it is ok to kill a baby, there are just some people that think it is up to the women. Why should the government regulate if a raped woman has to have a baby? Why shouldn't a woman who is in danger of dying be able to decide to save her own life? What if a husband would rather keep his wife and be able to try for another child instead of losing his wife? The environment effects us all, we all have to live here. You are not going to hell if someone else has an abortion, it's her choice.

That's an extremely stupid analogy, since one has nothing to do with the other.

First of all, a baby isn't considered a "baby" or infant until it is born, so it's not possibly to kill a baby before it's born. If you want to claim that a blob of a dozen undifferentiated cells is exactly the same as a fully formed and viable infant, or even a third-trimester fetus, the facts aren't really on your side.

Liberals aren't for abortion, contrary to your cartoonishly simplistic views. They don't like abortion, and wish we lived in a society where no one ever considered it necessary. More to the point, realizing that it isn't something to be taken lightly, liberals aren't so arrogant as to impose their own personal religious beliefs on someone else's body. The liberals are for informed and judicious choice, and know that the only person qualified to dictate to a woman what to do with her body is the woman herself.

Why is it that conservatives claim to be against abortion, but fight sex education and birth control that would render the act of abortion much less frequent? It's because they're not really against abortion, they're controlling, judgmental moralists who are against people having sex, and think that children aren't so much sacred life as just punishment for having sex.

That might also be overly simplistic, but given the dichotomy of being against stopping unwanted conception and also being against allowing the right to choose, it seems to fit.

A baby is not a baby before it is born. Especially in the first two trimesters. It is called a fetus, and it is part of a woman's body. Liberals don't have any problem with you destroying seeds, do they? I've never seen a protest to "save the pine cones". That is the same, if you must compare reproduction rights to environmentalism.

curiously liberals have not gained the memo declaring that the "morality judgments" activity replaced into yours now. it is unusual too that, in spite of six years under a expert existence president, a conservative leaning incredible court docket and a Republican majority in Congress... conservatives did actually no longer something to make abortion unlawful interior the U. S.. would desire to or no longer it is that the Republican social gathering in basic terms takes the abortion subject off the shelf to garner votes, then immediately places it suited back on the shelf till the subsequent election? Nah, no one could be so gullible as to back and back fall for that previous trick.

That is a sweeping generalization, and shows your detachment from the issue.

If you were to ask a liberal (or if a liberal were to answer you like I am) if they are for abortion, they'd likely say, no, that's not for me. Because they don't believe in arbitrarily killing people.

However, this is about making choices, and about not having the federal government legislate a woman's right to her own body. And please don't think that abortions occur when a baby can be born and survive. That is further evidence of a lack of knowledge and the human reproductive cycle.

You don't even know the argument.

The real question is

would you rather have abortions being done by a doctor and researchers able to study the issue from all sides?

Or

Would you rather have a huge number of women dying from unsafe abortions, as well as trying various "techniques" for causing miscarriages, and not be able to have researchers study the issue at all?

Those are the two options available to lawmakers. It isn't doctors who demand the abortions. Getting rid of them doesn't solve the underlying problem.

Liberals would like to solve the underlying problems, not cover it up and pretend it doesn't exist.

Not all liberals favor abortion

All humans should favor protecting the planet

why do conservatives hate killing fetus'
but don't care what type of planet they leave to these children
or what kind of deficits they run up that these kids will pay for

Not nearly as funny as their finding the death penatly to be horrid but abortion is a-ok.
I'm actually pro choice for the most part, but that crystal clear slice of liberal hypocrisy makes me giggle every time it comes up that I just have to share it.

I agree but on the flip side why do conservatives believe in the death penalty?

I think we're comparing apples and oranges here!
