Nope, not possible at all. The betta is just trying to defend his nest and wait for a female betta to come along.
As others have said, you should not be keeping a betta in the tank with goldfish. Goldfish are coldwater fishes while bettas are tropical. You can't keep the temperature in a place that will keep both fish happy and healthy.

Well as one of the other people pointed out, they will not mate. The male betta is defending his soon to be nest. He is the caregiver for the young and he will fight anything that comes close to the nest. You should think about getting a female betta. My betta blew his nest saturday and I have about 60 or so fry. The goldfish and the bettas can coinside with each other no prob. The betta might put up a fight if they keep circling the nest. If you want to know more about breeding them and raising the fry send me an email and I will be more than haplpy to help. Hope this did.

Making a bubble nest is much more a sign of marking his territory than a desire to mate. My boys generally build nest after their weekly smack talk time. (When I push their tanks together.) A betta can't mate with your goldfish any more than a cat would a dog.
Note that betta, and goldfish make poor tank mates.
1)Temp!!! Goldfish need temps in the 65-72F range. Above 73 they will suffer oxygen deprivation leading to nerve damage, disease, and death. While betta need it in the 75-85F range. Below that they are letharigic, suffer from disease, and tend to die in a few months.
2)Goldfish are the worst sort of betta tank big, slow, and showy of fin. A small less showy fish stands a much better chance. Of course some betta are psycho.
3)They need completely different foods. Betta need a meaty high protein diet, but goldfish need a lot of vegetable matter in their diet.

No, they are two completely different species. And goldfish eggs stick to solid's so I don't see how they can even be in the bettas nest. Also you need to research your pets, goldfsih and bettas CANNOT be kept together. Goldfsih are coldwater fish and bettas are tropical. And Each goldfish needs a minimum of 10 gallons to itself which I highly doubt you have. Do some research!

Small? A Betta desires a minimum of 5 gallons, if it truly is something smaller than 5 gallons you wont be waiting to ideal cycle, warmth, and clear out the tank, which will bring about a intense ammonia improve, burning the fish in and out, and you may assume your fish to stay some weeks to diminish than 2 years incredibly than 6 or 10 years as a healthful Betta could. they are in a position to additionally freeze, they're tropical and desire a persevering with seventy 8 to 80 two degree temperature or they are in a position to freeze, and you may't warmth something decrease than 5 gallons because of the fact it is going to over do your heater and probable kill the fish. you apart from could can not cycle the water ideal, and in case you're doing one hundred% water differences rather of letting the water take a seat and clear out, then you definately can assume your fish to get water marvel or fall unwell from the ammonia and nitrate stages. Please gain this lots extra analyze. Male Bettas in basic terms make bubble nests, it truly is their nature, you do not do something approximately it, in basic terms enable them to be.

I've never heard of a beta and goldfish breeding. The male beta is the caregiver for their young and it sounds as if he wants to be a dad! Have you considered getting him a mate?
