If so, is it therefore morally right to test medicines and other products on animals? Or is this a Nazi ideology, where beings perceived to be inferior are abused and mis-treated?

No. Humans are not superior to animals, we are animals. More specifically, we are primates. We evolved abilities and skills, best suited to survive in our environment as did all animals. We do not have gills, so does that mean dolphins and whales are superior to us? No, it just means that they are best suited for their environment.
As for doing test on animals, there are very strict guidelines that must be enforced. A company or a lab must prove to a board that they can not continue their studies without the use animal subjects. And must remain in contact with board throughout their study. The animals must be treated with the greatest respect and as humanely as the experiment allows.
Without animal testing, many many of the drugs that we have and the treatment we have would not be around. Because of animal testing there have been advancements in diabetes, HIV, alzeimhers, parkinsons, cancer research and medicine.

Human beings are not superior to animals. For that matter, we are not superior to plants, either. However, we do recognise a sense of morality, so although we do test medical advancements and products on plants and animals, we do have a responsibility towards the subjects by doing it with dignity and humane purposes.

I used to assume humans are superior to animals, but I begin to think not.
Animals may also assume their own species superior to the rest, including humans.

An example was, in Dec 2004, when the tsunami was about coming, all the animals had already gone uphills, only humans stay around sun-bathing, picking sea-shells on the retreating sea level at the beaches.
Aren't human inert to the natural environment?
Who is superior?

not unavoidably. Having worked in animal rescue, i've got self belief that some animals are lots extra priceless than specific people accessible. i've got considered firsthand what morally bankrupt people can do to animals, and it truly is appalling. As people, we've distinctive thought methods than different animals, yet in spite of if or not that makes us "more suitable" could be a factor of dialogue. we are in a position to truly maim and kill those creatures; what separates us from them, i think, is the occasional summoning of ethics that it may take to refrain from doing so. i'm Roman Catholic. As for the bonus question, the final action picture I watched strengthen into the secret technological awareness Theater 3000 version of "young ones From Outer area".

Humans are smarter than animals, being smarter we have a responsibility to care for the environment and the animals in it, which we don't, we destroy the environment and needless kill animals.
so humans are superior in a way ,but at the same time, not superior in some ways.

Animals are superior to humans in many ways.

Some hear better some see better all of them are smart enough to get through life without any formal education like humans seem to need.

I guess we are just to dumb to realize that we are inferior.

Ignorance is bliss.

Love and blessings Don

i don't think humans are superior to animals. Its all about survival and self preservation for us human and unfortunetly animals don't have weapons or guns or the capability to beat us into submission. I don't think it has anything to do with superiority. We all need to coexist together and without animals we would not be able to exist either...we need them more then they need us.

That is like asking if the engine is superior to the wheel on a car. One may be more complicated but the relationship is interdependent.

Humans are "superior" in the food chain and intellect. But as for strength and speed a LOT of animals outclass humans. Biological complexity is certainly on human's side. How far are you taking the superior definition?
