Went to Knott's Berry Farm (California) and a lot of the kids were waiting to ride in the front (longer wait) then in the middle - the kids who didn't make it to the front opted for the very back. Is there really a difference? To me - you're all going to the same place....

When you are in the front, you get whatever is going to happen first and that is awesome if you were on a water ride. The downside is if someone pukes on the back of your head.
I love the back because of the suspense because you never what will happen untill the very end.

Yes, there is a significant difference in the speed that the front and back hit things, and there's also the lack of visibility, and warning, from the back. The front and back are the best places to sit, for different reasons and in different parts of different tracks.

Yep, there's a BIG difference.
The front is fun because you get to see where you are going, however, it is not as fast because the front cars move slowly as they go over the top.
My favorite is the back car. It has the most momentum as you crest over the top of a hill (the cars in front have a head start), you can definitely feel yourself being whipped over the top, and you go much faster on the way down.

well when im at 6 flags lol i have soooooo much more fun sitting in the very back of the cart, like when its your turn to go over like a hump or curve its like 10x more intense than sitting in the Front. If your looking for NO FUN @ ALL then take it safe and boring and sit in the middle! lol well have fun on your trip!!

the back is more intense i believe because you're being pulled with all the weight ahead of you. but i like the front the best because then i know whats coming up and going down drops is easier
