I still watch the Benny Hill Show reruns because it's soo funny. To me it never loses it's humor.

I have no idea what you're talking about. The only sitcom I ever watched from the 70's was three's company. Now THAT was some funny $hit. And so were the Jeffersons, but I think that was early 80's though. I don't even think we could get english sitcoms back in those days, I don't remember any BBC on the tv guide.

Keeping Up Appearances is from the nineties. The only british sitcom I watch from the '70s is Are You Being Served. Other than that I watch Ab Fab, The Office, Coupling, My Hero, Spaced, and Black Books.

when you ask a question at least check the data first,
Keeping Up Appearances is from 1990'
and Patricia Routledge is actually quite a cool lady

Monty Pythons Flying Circus (1969-1974) is still quite fun

Black Adder was filmed in the 1980's ...
Bottom 1990's
so what are those lame sitcoms you are talking about ...???
you should be a bit more precise

I actually thought Keeping Up Appearances was pretty funny at times. (Watched a few episodes back in the day.) Wasn't it from the 80s?

Basically, people who are bored and don't have cable do. Those get played on public broadcasting.

There was nothing lame about British humor and sitcoms. Half the shows on American TV came from Britain. You should inform yourself.

The only English sitcom that I have ever seen was Absolutely Fabulous, and it sucked.

If there's truth to something, it's timeless.
Jesus is still around, and Jesus tried to teach us to not judge others.
Let he who is without wacky quirks be the first to cast stones, eh?
PS No, I don't, but if I chanced to rest on its station and time slot, i might just.
