Does anyone know when the newest ipod is supossed to come out or when there will be a significantly upgraded ipod?

Nobody knows yet. Apple hasn't even said anything about a 6th gen iPod. They just released the 5.5 gen in September, so it's going to be a while before they release a new one. It could even be a couple of years. Any date you hear right now is just a RUMOR until Apple makes it official.

The only upcoming addition to the iPod family that has been made public at present is the iPhone, which is basically an 8GB G2 Nano with Video functionality wrapped up inside a cel phone with a touch screen.

well i luv my new ipod the 5.5 gen. but i dont think they will have a new one again for a while maby next May.They just released the 5.5 gen in September, so it's going to be a while before they release a new one.the 5.5 gen is a good nano ipod

5.5 generation. they have a video ipod and a ipod nano.
