simple answer though.. if I were president we'd have beefed up homeland security.. and they would have never gotten the bombs threw customs. I wouldn't run the nation like a Hollywood movie or a Network show.

First of all, terrorist with suitcase nukes is great for an episode of '24' but it isn't going to happen, ever. Why? Because only 2 countries have the ability to make such devices, the US and Russia, and we don't have any such devices in war ready condition. China may be able to make such deices in 10 years, but not now.

Terrorists simply do not have the vast infrastructure and huge scientific talent pool needed to make such devices. It's a nonexistent threat.

If I were Bush, I would calmly continue reading The Pet Goat and having my photo taken after being told the news then go into hiding. Later, I would read a prepared speech and tell Americans that they need to worship me or they will all die.

A few days later, I would vow to catch the culprits "dead or alive" but I really wouldn't make any effort to do so. Instead, I would invade a country that had nothing to do with it, just to show my daddy what a big boy I am.
