If you're going to play roulette, at least find a single zero game. This will cut the house advantage to 2.70% from the double zero game's 5.26% >It's 5.26315% actually<
A single zero roulette wheel is referred to as European, double zero is the American version. A European game that employees the "en prison" rule cuts the house advantage even further.
The Stratosphere has a low limit single zero game.
you can find every single zero roulette game in LV at this site.
http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com "GAMBLING INFO" >Roulette.
It will not change the house advantage, but by betting the first two columns and red you will cover a large percentage of the layout. Say you bet $10 on red and $5 on each of the first two columns. If red hits in either of the first two columns you would win $15, $10 on the red, $10 on the column that hit and you would lose the other $5. The only way you could lose it all is if, black hits in the third column or green(zero, double zero) hits. >anything similar would work as well, or as poorly depending on how you look at it<
There is NO strategy for roulette that will give the player an advantage. >unless you consider match play coupons to be a strategy"<

I played Roulette for a limited amount of time. When I did it on my computer game at home I always seemed to win but once I hit the casino it was all downhill from there. There is no strategy involved, its a purely random game. My advice in terms of a strategy is play if you are with friends and looking to have fun. It is an exciting game if you are just looking to have fun but there is no strategy that is going to win you money. After winning only 1 out of 5 bets I placed I decided to let it go and stick to something with less house odds such as blackjack. When you are actually playing and seeing the MASSIVE amounts of chips being swept off the board and going back to the house you quickly realize this is not the game be playing unless you are looking to get lucky.
Somebody told me to try betting on either red or black (pick one and don't switch) and keep doubling your bet until you win. I wouldn't try it but if you look at the numbers it seems like an OK strategy.
Example:
Bet .... +win/ -lose ...... cumulative +win / - lose
5 ........... -5 (L) .............. -5
10 ......... -10(L)............. -15
20 ......... -20(L)............. -35
40 ......... -40(L)............. -75
80 ......... +80(Win)........ +5
The reason I wouldn't try this is I'm not sticking around to drop that $40 or $80 bet. Another problem with this is most Roulette tables in Vegas start at a minimum bet of $10 which would get out of proportion way too fast. Also, when you finally win you did not profit very much (you are only profiting your initial bet) so its not worth the risk.
Good Luck!

Playing Roulette depends on what you are looking to get out of the game. The best odds or the most paid back, is to place your bet straight-up on a number, 35 to 1 winnings. There many different bets that can be made with different odds being paid. I always bet the same ten numbers. I never change my numbers trying to find the lucky ones. The last time I was in Vegas, within two hours I had won enough to pay for our trip. The numbers do not always hit, but when you get on a roll, there's nothing as fun or more exciting than Roulette.(gaming that is).

I have "played" roulette, knowing full well that I was engaging in a losing proposition--I played because it was fun and I didn't mind losing money with my friends.
There is no "strategy" to roulette, unless the wheel itself is not "fair." Every single bed, whether you're betting on an individual number, or a color, or evens, or a corner, or whatever, has exactly the same odds: on a U.S. wheel, it's 5.625% in the house's favor. This odds occur simply because of the green 0 and 00. No betting strategy can EVER improve those odds. This is actually provable mathematically.

Roulette is one of the biggst games in the casino's favor.
If you want the best odds at a table game play
Blackjack (Find a single or double deck game that pays 3-2 on blackjack)
Craps (using full odds on the pass line)
Pai Gow Poker
Bacarat
Everything else is significantly in the house's favor.

roulette is definitely in favor of the casino. The only thing you could do is get a wheel with only one green (0) instead of two (00). You odds are better. Play Blackjack and video poker for your best odds
