Who would win in a fight between Yoda and Gandalf?

This is a totally "for fun" answer, so please don't mock me!!!

Well, that is a tough question. If one wants to base an answer solely on wisdom, then Gandalf would win. If one wants to base an answer solely on age, Gandalf (500 lives of men) would smoke Yoda (only a few hundred years old). If one wants an answer solely on experience, Gandalf would win. Gandalf would also win concerning: soceital stature, quantity of defeated foes, quality of defeated foes, and strategy among other fields. So, all in all, Gandalf would annihilate Yoda, although Yoda is still a pretty cool guy!

I would say Gandalf. Gandalf the Gray can come back to life as Gadalf the White. But if it were Gandalf the White and Saruman the White well I wouldn't know since their magical powers are equal. If Saruman didn't turn bad and joined with Gandalf the White both would beat Yoda. If it was Gandalf and Dumbledore then it would be Dumbledore since he's the most powerful/greatest wizard in the world. The evilest wizard Voldemort fears Dumbledore.

Alright, given that both are at the top of their game (a younger Yoda, with his light saber, and Gandalf being Gandalf the White, and not the Grey) I'd have to give it to Yoda.

Yoda's force powers would cancel out Gandalf's magic while his agility could easily outmaneuver the slower and bigger Gandalf.

Yoda appeared in more movies than Gandalf.

I'd give the intellectual advantage to Yoda since he's like 900 years old and Gandalf couldn't possibly be that old.

Also, Gandalf was killed by a Balrog. If yoda fought said balrog i think he could've dodge that whip and used force powers to knock some boulders onto it or something.

Also, Yoda has a light saber, while Gandalf only has a magical staff. I'm not completely sure what Gandalf's staff is and can do, but I'm pretty sure it isn't a continuous beam of energy capable of slicing things in half.

Hmmm...that is a right good puzzler. At first glance the two seem to be equally matched, both excellent at sword play. Yoda can utilize the Force, while Gandalf has magic.

However, I think that Gandalf has access to more mystical magical powers than what the Force allows for a Jedi. So While I am more a Star Wars fan than LOTR, I would have to say GANDALF would win.

That's hard to say. Both Yoda and Gandalf are bad motherf*****s, but since I like the underdog, I would think Yoda would win hands down. (Hey, he held his own with Dooku and that other cat in Episodes II and III) Now, if Yoda was not in tune with the Force, then Gandalf would whoop Yoda's little green butt.

I would have to say yoda. Yoda would move so fast that what ever magic advantage Gandalf had would be negated by Yoda's speed and ability to see a little bit into the future. Even as a cockroach or what ever he would be turned into, he would still have the force.

Gandalf would totally win!!!!!!!!!! He's just awesome!!! Especially if it was Gandalf the White instead of Gandalf the Grey... He's got the whole magic thing on his side and what not. Not to mention I like Lord Of The Rings a lot better than Star Wars any day...

That is a good question. Gandalf has wits and magic on his side, but Yoda has better weapons and speed.

I think it would depend on who started it. Whomever started it would win. But my money would be on Yoda.

Yoda!!! Because the force is not with Gandalf and because Gandalf would have to much problems with aim because Yoda is so small and fast! Of course after that I would come in and kill them both with my mastery of the dark side!!!
