you should try Mystic Tan. it is a booth (usually at the tanning salon) where you enter and a machine air brushes you w/ tanner.
always exfoliate and moisturize all your skin before applying any self-tanner.
happy tanning!

This time of year the tanning bed would be best, but unless you maintain the tan 3 times a week you are going to fade fast and waste your money. The spray tans are mostly a waste of time and normally make you look orange and do not fade evenly. If it is warm enough where you are at I would suggest the natural sunlight with a 15 - 30 SPF. That way you will get a gradual tan that will stay with you for a while, plus you get some extra vitamins from the sunlight! Good luck.... dont get burned!

Honestly, all are not very good for you. But tanning beds are the worst. They can cause serious skin damage. Lotions are good but can look fake. It depends on the tanner and how well you apply it. Natural sun tanning is good as well but make sure you take the necessary precautions to keep your skin from becoming damaged. Apply sun screen and don't stay out for too long the first time.....keep tanning with less and less sun screen and increasing time intervals. Soon you will have a natural sun kissed glow!

I would never use sunless tanning lotions, there isn't one that I know goes on well. They always give people an orangy glow, and just looks tacky. I would always recommend regular tanning, if it is the season of course. It is stronger and you will have the best luck with tanning evenly and looking natural. Tanning beds are ok when it comes to not looking fake. But use them at your own risk. They can be harmful to your skin, more so than the natural UV rays. But going a couple of times a week would give you a great natural looking glow for not very much money!

I'd do a combination of sunless tanning lotions and the natural outdoor sun. I like to develop a "base" with sunless and then go in the sun for an hour or so to "seal" it.

On vacation, I'll tan by the pool but always while wearing sunscreen. The sun is much, much stronger now. I like a light to medium tan now. My days of baking in the sun are over.

Tanning beds are dangerous. They are alluring, addictive, expensive to use and very bad for your skin.

I am getting older and I will tell you that you will regret going out in the sun a lot of using tan beds later...my sister did and she is starting to get wrinkles.. I used tanning beds but I ALWAYS covered my face and neck--then used tanning cream on my face & neck...

My suggestion: maybe tanning in the sun a little bit (or tanning bed)--cover your face-- a little bit of sun is good for you--it helps generate vitamin C --which is an anti-oxidant--which repairs skin.. but mostly, use self-tanner (or mystic tan, if you can afford it)

mmm, i do the tanning bed thing daily, & sometimes in summer i like to work on my tan outside at the beach or pool...i`ve never been a fan of the self-tanners, i`m not sure why, maybe because years ago the self-tanners were really horrible...now, the self-tanners (depending on the brand) can look really natural, & i do have friends who use them & are pleased with the results...also, there is the spray-on booth, which i`ve never tried...i just luv the tanning bed i guess, it works the best for me personally...

There are a lot of good self-tanners out there. Jergen's you have to be a bit careful with because you can't see it as you put it on, so you have to be sure you wash it off your hands and don't put it on heavy near your ankles.

Don't kill your skin by suntanning, especially not in a tanning bed!

Please don't go to the tanning bed!! It is extremely harmful to your skin! I know how you feel, I want to be tan too but there are other ways besides using a tanning bed. Your skin still absorbs UVA and UVB rays. Even tanning with sunblock is harmful after several hours. I suggest Aveeno gradual sunless tanning lotion, it does take longer but it isn't orange and it doesn't streak. Good luck and be sure to take care of your skin! :)
