Surprises stand out the most to me. Surprising me in the shower, surprising me with dinner, just the spur of the moment things.

Read a book or do a search for the 5 love languages. It really talks about the 5 ways different people accept and give love. It really is eye opening and explains why so may marriages end when both people thought they were really trying.
