Yes I think the Wolveries will do so. Like anyone else, they will have to have a special season, with motivated players and coaches, few or no injuries and a sprinkling of luck.

They had that in 1997. They had that in 2006, but there were at least two teams who were on more than a role than they: OSU and USC.

But it has happened before and will again.

Which Michigan team are you referring to...Michigan Wolverines or Detroit Lions?

The Wolverines definitely a good chance season with the return of Henne, Hart, and Manningham. The Lions will never contend for a championship as long as Millen is there...go blue...

You're asking if the team with the most national titles will ever go to the Championship?!?!! OF COURSE THEY WILL!!! May take a few years and a new head coach, but the Maize and Blue will be #1 again.

Sure it is just a question of how long. Michigan has a storied history. CFB is cyclical but the great traditions eventually continue. I don't know if the balance of power will shift any time soon but eventually it will. Right now USC and Florida own CFB but that can't last forever.

Jeffery i like you. you are one of the buckeye fans that aren't obnoxious pricks. i wish there were more buckeye fans like you.

I think michigan with the return of its offense and defense ( with the exception of one or two key players) has a very good shot at making it to the national championship this year. mike hart and manningham are the biggest playmakers in the Big ten and will lead the team.

well as a osu fan i don't want them to but i think they have a great change because anything is possible. Mich won it in 1997 then in 2002 osu won it. ANY thing can happen because it is the Big TEN

one of the best conferences

each will get another in the next decade (with any luck none of the florida schools will win another one for a long time :) )
