All could be equal. Pizza and hamburgers both came from Europe and so I doubt one is any more American than the other. Tomatoes and Potatoes are both native to the Americas so they are probably equal. Professors or right-wing pundits. They might be one in the same. Just because one is a pundit doesn't mean they cannot also be a professor or visa versa. So it is a push there too. Socialists and Fascists are not American. Neither would be more American than the other unless you are referring to South America and then the Fascists have the upper hand. Urban dwellers and Country folk would be about the same too. Another push. Fundamentalist preachers over feminists. Each has strong beliefs and as Americans are entitled to their beleifs. Neither is any better than the other. Surfers or hunters. Surfing is a sport and so is hunting it really depends on what one likes to do. Nothing says a surfer can't also be a hunter or that a hunter can't also be a surfer. So I would say they could both be the same and Hippies and Klansmen. This one there is a difference. Hippies prefer peace where Klansmen do not. Hippies are in favor of diversity where Klansmen are not.

So of all your examples the only clear difference between which is more "American" is between Hippies and Klansmen. And that goes to the Hippies.

They are all American except pizza-it originated in Italy and tomatoes I think they're immigrants ,too.
But seriously they all share the freedoms of America-though I do not agree with the tactics of eco-terrorists and abortion clinic bombers, they have the right to their opinions.

Uh, well that is a rather ridiculous list.
I guess I will choose:
Hippies, Hunters, preachers, neither, both, neither, both, potatoes, both pizza and hamburgers remind me of Europe, so neither.

If they were born here, or took a citizenship test and passed, they are American. All equal but for one thing: any American who is not natural-born cannot and should not serve this country as President.

The American people are the ones who stand up for America. It doesn't matter the group. You get American and anti-American in all of them.
