I have an old CB750 that was dressed up and now looks like crap. Everywhere it goes, I hear "nice bike". Cost was $650 plus tires and other stuff $1000 total.
The other one:
2006 Harley Davidson FXD35 Superglide, 35th Anniversary Edition, #2347 of 3500. With a few extras.
Cost: My First Born Son.

I have a 82 Kawasaki KZ1000 CSR.
I rescued it from the trash and restored it.
It took over a year of hard work, but was complete and needed few parts.
I think its cool. It was free.
Before that I had a 71 Honda CB750 K1.
It too was free, but I had to dig it out from under a collapsed corn crib. It took only about 3 months to restore, but needed parts. I spent about 500.00 U$ restoring it.
It was very cool.

I got a 1999 Ninja 250 with 17k miles for 1300 bucks.
It needed a little valve work, and fortunately I got my local stealership to completely mess it up so badly that it stopped running 2 miles from where I picked it up after "service."
I started working on it myself and now it runs great.
I'm looking at a 2001 Ninja ZX6R in yellow today for 4k, with some helmets and jackets I'll just sell if I get it.
Yellow bikes look great and are highly visible, for extra road safety.

1987 BMW K75S I bought new. The exchange rate was pretty good n 87, it cost about $7000 with sales taxes. But then I had to buy saddle bags, etc so had to dump a bumch of money into it right away.

I bought my 1980 Honda CB650 last year for $700. Bike is in great shape for it's age, just did a 2-up / 250 mile trip with no problems.

2007 Yamaha V-Star 650 Midnight Custom- with winshield and backrest. After all taxes and crap is was 7700, cheapest midsize cruiser that i could finance because i didnt want to drop 4k on a used bike so all around it was a good deal i guess.

2002 Electraglide. I'll just say I paid less out the door with about $1500 in extras than the list price of a Goldwing.
