Syria is afraid of Israel and feel that they will be involved in another war soon. Syria is supplying Hezbollah with arms, many of which come from our friends in Tehran. Israel does not wish to fight anyone if it can be avoided; however, if they are attacked they will fight back savagely because it is do or die for them. Unfortunately I do not think there will be peace between Israel and Syria because Syria is a Muslim nation and they are determined (sooner or later) to convert Israel or strangle it. Same for the USA and all non-Muslim nations eventually. Read the Qur'an in the section called Jihad and it will all become very clear to you.
