I plan on voting for the best candidate to do the job, regardless of their gender, skin color or religion.

It's really a simple concept, I think.

Yes, white people would vote for a black to be President. Sooner or later the people asking these black and white questions will have to realize that beauty doesn't only go skin deep. It is the values of the person, what that person feels, thinks, does that is important. On the outside we look different, on the inside many of us are the same. For others who are not the same inside, they have much to learn in terms of good thinking and values. Listen to your heart and not what you actually see.

When voting for a president or a leader in general I think people need to cast aside their racial differences. How do you know that this person isn't going to be the best for the country or whatever it is they are striving to become leaders of? The color of your skin should not matter, what should matter is principles, goals, accomplishments and honesty (not that honesty has really ever been a part of politics but one can hope for change). Who knows maybe this 'black man' (as you so put) will turn society around for the better!

I would certainly vote for a black man for President if I felt he was the best candidate. At this time, I think both John Edwards and Haillary Clinton are better candidates. In the future I hope Mr. Obama does get to run again because I would vote for him.

Yep, I would vote for a black person for president as long as I thought he would do the best job.

I am in the deep south and grew up using the 'N word". , just so you know where I am coming from. I personally would vote for anyone of any race or gender if that person eches my feelings about the issues. However Barrack and Hillary do not fit the bill for me.

Yes I would. But someone with no real world experience no. African americans keep holding on to this race thing, not like black people in the rest of the first world. Obama is trying to drop the race card but unfortunatly others can't.

You are racist for even asking such a question! Race, or gender, has nothing to do with how qualified a candidate is.

The problem is Obama isn't qualified because he has NO EXPERIENCE. A couple of years in the Senate doesn't cut it.

Hillary is a shrill socialist witch that is so far to the left she has no clue as to what Americans want. She will do or say anything for a vote.

I'd vote for Obama in a New York minute and I'm white.

I believe so. Contrary to belief, not all White people are prejudice. Some actually care about the well-being of this country and it's leadership more than they do color.
