No the don't. Those people are terrified to remove their burkhas. There are free iranians in america who still refuse to take theirs off. I think pelosi should keep hers on. Then we won't keep having to see her ugly face.

Did she wear a burkha? I missed that, got a link? I heard she wore a veil, big difference, though I haven't even seen a picture of that. Why all the attention over honoring customs? It's something that is just done when visiting foreign countries. You're really reaching with this one.

Pelosi is showing respect for the customs of that society. America doesn't have similar customs of dress--our custom is to allow and encourage the individual to wear what suits them--so there would be no "respect" involved in not wearing a burkha. Except perhaps to the bigots who demand conformity and bilittle diversity. But no decent American--or anyone else--has any respect for them.

Maybe one of those folks on conservative hate radio can show us since that is probably where you got such an idea. Ask Ann the asp Coulter, or Rusty Limpbra, or one of the others. Show us a picture of her in a burqa and then we can believe you. Otherwise it is pure BS.

Nope, did you watch Amazing Race last season? They had 2 friends or maybe brothers, that were racing and they had them on the whole race while they were on. I find it ridiculous because if they move to America for our way of life, they should adapt to our cultures...but that is just my opinion....I would do the same if I moved to their country.

No, because it's a matter of religion, not just regional custom.
If you are Jewish, do you take off your skull cap or Star of David necklace just because you're in a room full of Christians? Alternately, if you're Christian, do you take off the crucifix around your neck when you go to a Jewish deli?
They're not "terrified" to remove it...They simply prefer to keep it on, because it is part of their religious practices.
