While it's great that you're a non-confrontational person, others may view passiveness as weakness. Sometimes the passiveness makes people look like a doormat. I'm not saying it's good to cause drama but people may mistake your actions as a lack of confidence and ability to stand up for yourself. Sometimes being the bigger person does require some (polite) confrontation. Just remember that and keep being the nice person you are.

Anyone that judges kindness as a weakness is a very shallow lonely person. Never be kind just to please someone. Kindness is one of the few ways that you can truly impact the world. A single act of kindess may change someone's world. Continue being kind. There are too many people in the world that would rather be cruel.

Don't know if this qualifies but yesterday while at the store someones child throws a glas jar on the floor and it broke so I stood nearby with my cart and waited while someone came to clean up. I asked people to please use another isle, which all but one did. While the person cleaning up the messy was down wiping up a lady came down the isle and I asked her to wait or go to another isle. No she shoved me with her cart, hit the person cleaning up and caused them to get cut, and then trudged through, and stepped on glass and had to get stiches too. Then she said no one told her. Needless to say the store paid the medical bill but told her not to come back. I doubt my kindness was a weakness point but it was ignored nonetheless. Hope she learns her lesson.

sadly in this world we live in,good is bad and bad is good!!but thank god there are kind people!!everybody remembers a kind act!!it's sad to say that some people take advantage of other people's kindness and spit on it!!
it all depends on the person who is receiving this kindness,if he/she is a jerk then yes,they will see it as a weakness!!but if it is received from a good person then it will be cherished!!
in this cruel world kindness is needed!
so let's not stop being kind because some people are incompetent of showing kindness and love!

not always... always is a word that should not be used...to inclusive..
a lot of folks have/carry a lot of baggage (some say if you're 30 and older.... you have baggage.
some use this to be mean and others to hide behind (not letting others to see their pain. only problem is when one shuts people out.. they are shutting themselves in.. and th cycle continues.. how sad to die and not have someone say that they knew you.

ya... I wish i had a little back bone.. so if someone is mistreating me, i could yell at them or dont give a care...
everyone opipion seems to affected me... and i hate it...
and id say yes and sometimes don't mean it... only person i can be most frontal with is my bf thank god...

When you offer kindness to an ignorant, it is always taken as kindness. When you show kindness to some "smarty pants" they confuse it with weakness.

By aggressive, nasty people it does. If you're kind or polite to other kind people, it shouldn't be mistaken for weakness.

Sadly, most of the time it does. It you're kind to your employees, they will take advantage of you. They had rather have a boss that treats them like s**t so that they have something to constantly complain about.
