Sod that! I like to sit on a bench in town, watching the world go by and do not want to hear some jobsworth knuckle dragger sitting in the basement of the cop shop in front of some CCTV bawling out some poor lad just because he dropped a mars bar wrapper. I like peace and quiet and do not want to hear amplified lectures in the street from some authoritarian knobhead who does not like what they see on the screen in front of them. This is nothing but idiotic noise pollution, if it comes to my town I will be taking out a prosecution against the council for disturbing the peace, you better believe it!

Thundering good idea. I'm fed up of being inconvenienced by the inconsiderent. It's not simply yobs, or hoodies. Adults over 25 are as bad, what with litter, unmannerly behaviour and general inconsideration.
I am a Security Officer at a Magistrates Courthouse. We had Youth Remands today. I had to deal with three fights - one between the kids and two between the parents. The waiting room looked like a bomb-site, and it was as much the parents doing as that of the kids.
Scratching the bum is an innocous pursuit. Wiping it, and then smearing the result over the lavatory wall, is perhaps less so, but that is what was done today, in the Ladies loo.
Hopefully, talking CCTV will jerk people from antisocial behaviour to realising that this behaviour is considered wrong. Maybe then, with this realised, we can live in a clean, ordered, considerate society, in which filth is vilified, rather than acquiesced to, or even praised.

Just needs a bit of final tuning, like a verbal warning first followed by a massive long arm with truncheon attached to administer a smack on the head. All druggies, peodo's yobs beware final tuning is now taking place, get off the streets stay at home ,down in the gutter.

Bit intrusive to say the least. Knowing we're all being watched on thestreets is one thing but being shouted at or commented upon by a guy in room look at screens is quite another. Takes "Does my bum look big in this?" to a whole new level.

All you'll need is a talking id card and they can amongst themselves and let the humans get on with their lives.

No harm as crime and terror incidents are on the rise or that's what media makes us to believe, such monitoring will be of great help in stemming general crime etc
