Not the game itself, but the people who play it. I bought it to play football and have fun online, but there are so many glitches that it is near impossible to play defense against anybody who knows the glitches. What makes it worse is all the people who when they have a big lead they still try to score instead of just getting the game over with. Why did they get rid of the fair play system anyway? The game just is not any fun to play online anymore.

Sam, when playing against someone on the same TV I use the bluff feature so they never know what play I am using.

I definatly hear ya.. There are some things you can do in that game on offence that are 99% unstoppable.
Take the user catch... All the top madden players do it, and once you have it mastered there is no way that someone that isn't expecting it can stop it.
When I first started playing it with my friends it was fun, but now that we are all user catch masters all we do is set each other up for the user catch when the other guy is sleeping. It makes defense such a pain in the *** that most of the time we don't even finish games.
Online is almost as bad. There are very few players that play that game their own way they are either one of 2 ways.
1. Guys that scramble the crap out of their QB... the ones that know what they are doing just get sickening.
2. The guys that do user catches, WR leans, and audibles on every play. That is also getting rather sickening.
the core problem is in the game's AI with recieving. You can make recievers go into animations just by doing specific things and no AI defender will ever cut that route off.

Yeah I totally agree man. The old system was better when you could grant mercy or conceite defeat when you or your opponent were down enough. In this one it is ridiculous though and people do exploit the glitches in this one way too much. I prefer playing against people I know and I play unranked games a lot too because people don't usually cheat to win.

madden itself is not any strong the game is tremendous yet in case you purchase madden 07 the seen madden 08 popping out is later makes you remorseful about paying for it now its a vicious cycle you cant ever have the hot madden recreation it sucks and that i agree madden 07 is crappier than earlier variations

you think its easy for people online to cheat? try playing 2 player head to head where the people can see the plays you pick@!!!! holy crap how cheap is that!!!! now you have to actually high lite a play to select it, so the other person knows what you are doing
