I am trying to eat healthier and get some walking in. But obviously now with a small baby its not so easy to make it to the gym? Can anyone recommend any good work out dvd's or any other ideas for that matter?

Going for walks is a good way to start. Plop her in the stroller and go! :)

I gained almost 50 lbs as well and 7 months later I am about 10-15 lbs over my pre pregnancy weight still and I am also breastfeeding still and going to the gym and eating sort of healthy..I went from 180 to 155 in the first week then have been losing a lb like every few weeks or month- 2months now. Just eat healthy, try to nurse cause its good for your baby and burns a lot of calories and exercise but not for at least 6 weeks! Don't focus on your body too much especially right after the baby cause it is going to look..well lets just say a lot different but in time it will get better :)

walking is perfect! Aim to go for a 30-45 minute walk about 5 times a week. And eat healthy and in moderation. If you are breastfeeding, there are some great diets to make sure you are getting the proper nutrution and protein. Check out kellymom.com for it. Keep up these things and watch the scale start moving down.
As of for workout videos, the Zone does a line that will wip you into shape in like 10 workouts. They are really hard when you first start but you'll get use to them. I would alternate walking and the zone videos and got down to my prepregancy weight and then lost 10 more lbs. Now I'm 4 months pregnant with my second and still don't weight what I did when I first got pregnant with my first. And I'm in such good shape. Also, Denise Austin is awesome. She has a line of hit the spot for Abs, arms, and buns, and legs I think. They are each 10 minute segments that target that group. Another great thing when you are dealing with a baby and need to fit in a workout. Good luck and congrats on the baby!

Congrats on your beautiful baby! I have a 2 month old boy and I know the feeling, but slowly my weight has been coming off, I actually am breatfeeding which helps, but I am doing Weight Watchers they have a great plan for nursing moms and I have been losing a pound a week. It will gradually come off, be patient, I would like to be back to my normal size by summer but I have to be realistic. Just make sure to take long walks with your baby now that the weather is nice and keep taking your multi vitamin if your breatsfeeding. Good Luck.

Target sells these box sets that has everything you need to do Pilates or Yoga [they have other choices too] It comes with a DVD, some weights, a big exercise ball-everything you need to tone up. The hard thing is finding the time to do it. I would suggest going for a walk in the morning and trying out the DVDs of your choice while the baby is sitting in her swing or something.

Walks are good, but do it with her in a front carrier. You will burn more calories that way. She looks still very young. Don't push yourself too hard til she's at least 6 weeks old. Your body needs time to recover. Drink a ton of water especially if you are nursing and that will knock of a good 5-10 pounds. And remember it takes some time. It took 10 months to put that weight on it can take that long to get it back off.

Give yourself 9 months. It took 9 months to gain that weight. You will be surprised how much of it comes off naturally. Are you breastfeeding? That burns 500 calories a day!

The Bodies in Motion Workout DVD's are the good. My mom lost tons of weight using them.

the best thing to do is get a baby backpack and carry her with you for a walk in the park. Also maybe get a special bike seat so that you can ride doubles with her, the extra weight is quite a workout, and itll help you get back in shape real quick.

pilates at home, also all those workout shows on TV are really good to do, you can also do sit ups while you have down time while you watch TV. Or even better yet invest in some ankle weights and hit the pavement... the ankle weights will do good cause you can hide them easily and they help tone your legs.
