The answer is B, Krypton, but let me explain why each of the other three are not the correct answer.

A.) Iron oxide is an ionic compound, therefore containing an ion of Fe and an ion of O. This will be FeO or Fe2O3 depending on the ionization state of Fe.

B.) Krypton is an element in the noble gases. Being that it is an element, you can have one atom of it. It is not coupled with anything, it is not bonded to anything, it is simple an atom. An element is an atom.

C.) Water is a covalent molecule with the formula H2O. You cannot have an atom of this, you can only have a molecule of this.

D.) Carbon monoxide is also a covalent molecule. You cannot have an atom of this either, you can only have a molecule of this.

I realize others have answered this before me, but I just wanted to go into a little bit of detail as to why the answer is what it is so that you can apply this knowledge to other questions of the sort. Hope this helps you.

Krypton
It is a noble gas and exists as a single atom. It is also the name of the planet from which Superman came and is the one element that he is not immune to.

B) Krypton

The others are compounds. The smallest "particle" of a compound one can have is a molecule.
