We should kick all of the non-smokers out of the country and sell them to France.

I agree. But, as a courtesy I always ask before lighting up and never even attempt it in a non smokers home. But, being polite is not good enough for some people. They want to make things to where you do it their way or you are not given a choice cause the people we elected have had their say.
It is like when "WE the people" aloud the government to make laws regarding how we raise our children instead of doing it ourselves.
Or letting the government intervene in our children's education. Now the teachers are not allowed to teach except to pass the government standardized testing system, them they say we do not have enough children entering the science and math fields. Well, whose fault is that????
Sorry, got carried away, my bad!?!?!?

not letting people smoke in restaurants is just common courtesy. not everyone smokes so not everyone should have to be around it and breathe it in or have to smell like it. i don't think you should get special treatment just because you choose to smoke. it's not like you will die if you go out to dinner and can't have a cigarette until you get outside. and if you can't go an hour or two with out smoking i think you have a severe problem. when something you do not only effects you but other people you have to take other people into consideration. when someone drinks it doesn't effect the person sitting next to them, but when you smoke it effects other people in the room. i have severe asthma and can not go to a lot of bars or restaurants because of all the smoke. i can't go places because of a choice someone else is making. what right do smokers have to effect my lungs and my health? i think you need to be more realistic about people accommodating to your bad habit.

I smoke in my home & in my car,no one can tell me not to ,no one..
People forget or simply don't know where the cigarette taxes go
to,or they may have more consideration for smokers too..I have the right to control my own health & life and always will.

to split business like that would ultimately result in failure, unfortunately. but it is a good concept. i don't smoke, but i personally never have any problems being around it, hell everyone i know smokes. i think non-smokers shouldn't be hypocritical and just let others be.
as for the government... there is just too much bs there to swim through. like i said... hypocritical.

That would be great! We deserve rights too. They treat us like lepers. The way it is now you get more respect and rights if you're a heroin/smack/coke/meth addict. Somethings not right with this picture. Smoking is legal the rest are not. mmmmmm
Plus the government actually makes money on our habit... do they make money on the illegal habits. I doubt it.

There's so many smoking Nazi's out there it's annoying. Yes, I think that is ludicrous that the gov. taxes the crap out of cigs, but why can't they do the same for alcohol, or drugs?

i'm cool with that as long as you do the same thing with people who have children.
I hate kids more than smokers!!!!!!
families are bullshit now days!!
they are not considerate and I have more respect for a smoker who blows their smoke away from me, or steps aside when I walk by than a mom or dad with their kids hogging the pathway and making a friggn' parade of their procreation habits!!

That makes sense if you think about it. But what I don't get is if they have all of these commercials telling you to quit, why do they still have people making them???
