MacDonalds adds additional sugar to their fruit and walnut salad to enhance the flavor. While it may be a healthier alternative than a Big Mac, you're much better off cutting up your own fruit, adding nuts, and eating low fat yogurt with it.

Yes, it has a lot of sugar and sweets on it so my guess too is that it is probably high on carbohydrate. And assuming that you eat healthy most of the time and that this is a once in a while dessert (which is probably not or is it), then there should be no problem. As I've heard moderation is key and I'm a firm believer that this is true because too much or too less can't be good. So have a nice healthy diet and so will I, at least I'll try.

Too much sugar to be healthy. If you really want a healthy fruit and walnut salad with yogurt, you'd be better off fixing your own.

Eating an apple and some grapes with a lowfat yogurt at home is a lot better for you. Add a handful of real non suguary walnuts. The McDonald's one has too much sugar, chemical additives, and flavorings. It's plastic food.

It is but without the walnuts. Before it became pre packaged the employees used to make it. A scary thought but yeah the only really unhealthy thing is the walnuts

It should be but it is all to do with knowing what is actually in the food. The additives , is any the salt content and other stuff like that. Your McDonald's salad will therefore be potentially different to a similar salad you could make in your house.
Hope this helps.

The answer to that ?'s sadly no. They did a survey on calories in fast food on cnn and found Mcdonalds fruit an nut salad to be pretty packed with calories. the yogurts packed with suggar...Ruby Tuesdays also got a bad rep from them too.

yeah, if you don'e eat the walnuts. There's alot of sugar on the walnuts; they coat them with sugar. If you don't eat the walnuts, it's totally good for you!

ofcourse its very tasty now doubt.. but once in a while its alright.. but when u do it regularly its definitely a problem.. if u wanna have fruit and walnut you can make it on your own... and mcdonalds also have budget plans where you have less of fats on it and definitely not that tasty....

anything like that in fast food they still add additives for flavor or sugars that why you will get the 'need' to come back and buy more. you are better off making it yourself at home
