Even though this may not sound right, but Mohinder Amarnath will make a excellent coach.
He is sharp, quick thinking and team player who has been part of the WC '83. He very well knows that what it takes for a team to be competitive.
I know he is not in good books of BCCI, because he called selectors - bunch of jokers some time back.
But times have changed. They should consider Amarnath.
Or bring back John Wright, he was one of the successful coaches we had in recent times. Team gelled well in his time.
Even though John Wright mentioned rift in team while he was at helm, it was not this widespreadh, he at least knew how to use the skills, attitude of players to get results, and gave players space to breath, in which I think GREG failed miserably.
A coach is one who understands players and makes use of thier skills, rather than impose new/unuachievable targets or self proclaimed forumlea, like GREG did. Which boomeranged big time!

Greg is great batsman and may be a good Captain. But it is not necessary that a great batsman can be a good Coach.
He is not good coach. What I figured , he wanted to lead the team with Captain's attitude not as Coach. He never had team trust. Team got divided. Once he is gone, you will hear from players. Sachin, Kumble already told.He is leaving... good for Indian cricket. Amarnath or Patil.. a good choice.

sandeep patil, kapil, gavaskar, these three players are great people and they have that talent to guide india through the path of success and desi coach is a better option, according to me.
These people are talented cricketers and have done so much for cricket, now i think it is the right time to do for india because India is in tremendous trouble and these people only can sort the problem which india is facing.

Robin Singh!!!! He was a gooood player back then as he dived on the field for the ball and was always in tip top physical shape and was good at running between the wickets.
He will preach his philosophy of working hard and staying in shape to these fat bastards and demand them to play smart and adjust to the international game instead of playing shots like a sissy
