A lightbulb is kept on through the constant input of electrical energy, but eventually it will get really hot due to the electrical energy being transformed into thermal energy.

My example would be the conversation of stored energy into wasted energy. For example, I have to use the energy stored in my body to power my arms, fingers, and brain so that I can answer your question thus converting stored energy which should be used for work, into wasted energy since answering questions is not what I get paid to do.

well.. you could just do an easy one like.. a touch the chemical energy from the battery is changed in to electrical energy, the electrical energy is then use to power the bulb the bulb uses the electrical energy and transforms it in to heat and light energy. and there you are done :) (you could also add that the heat energy is useless energy and that light energy is then use so that you can see. but its up to you )

Sunlight (solar energy) is harvested by plants and converted into sugars (photosynthesis) to give the plant (cellular) mechanical energy. We eat the plant (and it's energy) to give us energy.
